Before you is a tremendous archway of some thirty feet in height, made
completely of unfinished black marble. Surrounding the archway - carved
directly from the stone walls that make up this cavernous chamber - are
figures from your worst nightmares. Hideous, demon-like creatures of
unknown origin grimace, smirk, frown, and glare at you from every
conceivable angle. A large pair of completely smooth, unadorned crystal
doors block your passage through the archway.
